My life passion for motivational speaking and education 💬

Whenever I help people find their passion and improve their quality of life, I experience so much happiness and satisfaction. Because of my background and upbringing, I love motivating other people to become their better selves.

I’ve helped people in different forms - strength training, education and career, and more.

I gave a talk at VMware’s first internal and virtual design conference called SHAPE where I spoke about how design thinking has impacted my life.

Check out my articles on design here. Maybe something can help you.

Lastly, I taught an interaction design class at San Jose State University to a group of Master’s and 4th-year undergraduate students in 2022!

My love for acting, musical performance, and self-expression in general 🎼

I grew up listening to hip-hop and R&B music, which inspired me to become involved in musical performance and acting in middle and high school.

As of 2023, I am taking acting classes on the side for fun.

Check out snippets of my performances in R&B, hip-hop, and acting.

My weight loss transformation 🏃‍♂️

Starting the end of 2016 to summer 2017, I lost 94 pounds through changing my lifestyle from sedentary and lazy to fit and strong :)

It was a war waged against myself. Check this article out.

Strength training 💪

I can be a good coach or just someone to work out or discuss lifting weights with! My Squat, Bench, Conventional Deadlift in pounds are 440, 300, and 520.

My logo

My logo represents hip-hop, professionalism, and hope. On the surface, it shows my initials (MT). On a deeper examination, the M is my collar and the t can be interpreted as a tie or a chain, the latter of which is a prominent staple in hip-hop culture The t also represents a Jesus cross because I believe hope is universal.
